Being healthy on the inside and out should be a lifetime
commitment, not just for a season. There
are so many benefits of living a healthy lifestyle that includes all aspects of
health. We want to motivate ourselves to make a change and be consistent. We can begin with small steps and work our
way up. For example, one step could
include begin to exercise 15 mins daily and eventually, 30 mins per day. Furthermore, becoming physically active, can
lower our risk for medical problems.
Adding more fresh vegetables, fruits, legumes, and beans in
our diet and less processed and prepackage foods. This process may increase dietary fiber to
assist in improving elimination and may prevent certain cancers as well as
other disorders.
Having an annual exam with your primary care provider, could
identify warning signs of a preventive medical concern by receiving lab
collections and health screenings such as cancer, stroke, high cholesterol,
diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.
Surrounding ourselves with positive relationships, helps to
maintain balanced mental health. If we
have negative relationships in our life, we should plan on ways of improvement
or seeking new relationships.
Finding positive ways to deal with stress such as meditating,
quiet time, or even allowing plenty of time to travel to work. There are many ways to maintain a healthy
lifestyle. We must first find ways to
begin small changes and be consistent.
