I graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S in Health Promotion and Wellness. I taught health, science, and nutrition classes. Driven to improve my field, I received my Registered Nursing by attending Presbyterian School of Nursing. I have worked in a variety of medical and community settings. Both locally and nationally for over a decade. I gained experience at hospitals, homeless shelters, community colleges, urgent care and cancer centers, as well as diabetes, thyroid, pain, substance abuse and mental health clinics. For over 5 years, I offered health consultations, dietary guidance, exercise options, nutritional classes, and wellness seminars. With the combinations of these services, I feel individuals have the tools to make better choices toward a healthier lifestyle.
My encounters with people and my passion for education, pushed me to learn more about preventive health. I attended Trinity School of Natural Health and received my ND/NMD(natural medicine doctor). I am Board Certified with the Naturopathic Medical Association. I am also a Certified Basic Life Support Instructor and a Certified Natural Health Provider. I provide advice on disease prevention, holistic health guidance with an emphasis on nutrition, exercise, and stress management without medications. I use natural supplements, dietary management, exercise options, and noninvasive diagnostic tools including health assessments and lab analysis.
